I dag bringer mange spændende nyheder fra filmbranchen:
Moritz characterized the series as an original take on the superhero genre. “Rather than begin with a romantic idea of superheroes out to save the world, ‘The Boys’ imagines a world in which superheroes really exist, with all of the flaws that real people have,” he said. “The boys are there to make sure that people with superhuman powers don’t get out of line.”
Plan B and producer Kevin Messick are developing the project that’s based on Charles Burns‘ graphic novel. Burns wrote and illustrated the 12-issue series that became the graphic novel over a 10-year period.
Story kicks off when a sexually transmitted “bug” is passed from teenager to teenager.
Roger Avary and Neil Gaiman were tapped to adapt the screenplay in March 2006.
Danny Huston “is playing Stryker, the military general who subjected Wolverine to the experiment that laced his bones with an unbreakable metal called adamantium.
Taylor Kitsch is playing Gambit, a Cajun thief whose powers include the manipulation of kinetic energy, which allows him to use card-throwing to deadly effect.
Will.i.am, frontman of hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas, will play Wraith, a mutant with the power to turn himself translucent.
Lynn Collins will play as Kayla Silverfox, Wolverine’s lover and a member of Team X, a superpowered covert ops team.
Ryan Reynolds will appear as Deadpool, a wisecracking mercenary. “
