Ingen store overraskelser – det er godt at se Ed Brubaker få noget anerkendelse, da han er en af de mest solide forfattere i dag. Det er en solid liste, der i år synes at være mere præget af Indie-udgivelser end den plejer (eller er det bare mig?). Og så må i år vel også markere en af de første gange nogen sinde at Alan Moore ikke er nomineret til prisen – det lader til at komiteen ikke var imponeret af hans erotiske Lost Girls.

Ellers er der også mange piger/kvinder nomineret i år – 20 er det blevet til, her i blandt Alison Bechdel for Fun Home og Alexa Kitchen, der med sine bare 8 år er den yngste nominerede nogensinde.

Og de nominerede er …

Nu er de nominerede til dette års Eisner Awards offentliggjort, og det er ikke en liste som byder på de store overraskelser – Warren Ellis (som snart besøger Danmark til komiks.dk ) har flest nomineringer for værker som bl.a. Desolation Jones, Fell, Ocean og Planetary, mens Alan Moore, Grant Morrison og Brian K. Vaughan også udmærker sig på listen. Det er lidt småt med nye navne på listen, men det afspejler måske også den amerikanske forlagsscene meget godt – det er svært at komme til som ny, og det gør det ikke nemmere at Ellis, Moore, Morrison og hvad de nu allesammen hedder lader til at være på toppen af deres skaberevne. Det er ret svært at hamle op med Planetary, Seven Soldiers eller Promethea.
